SBI Clerk exam is organized by State Bank of India once every year to hire Junior Associates for different types of customer interaction related jobs. It is a national level exam and the minimum required qualification to apply is Graduation. Even final year students can apply too. There are two parts of the exam- prelims and mains respective. The SBI Clerk 2020 Prelims was successfully conducted by March 8, 2020. The Mains have been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic indefinitely. After the commencement of the entire exam procedure, the results are dated to be released in June 2020. There is no interview round for the post and candidates will be shortlisted for the 8653 vacancies based on their final results.

SBI Clerk 2020- Eligibility

Before applying and registering for SBI Clerk 2020, you must thoroughly go through the SBI Clerk 2020 Eligibility Criteria to double check whether you are eligible from all aspects.


SBI Clerk-Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Central Government. 

  • Candidates who are in the final semester/year may apply, if and only if they are able to produce the proof of degree completion on or before August 31, 2020. 

  • The candidates having integral dual degree or IDD certificate should make sure the date of passing is before January 1, 2020.

  • Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the state/UT is mandatory.


SBI Clerk- Nationality/Citizenship

  • Citizenship of India.

  • Subject of Bhutan or Nepal.

  • Tibetan refugee whose family migrated to India before January 1, 1962.

  • Persons of Indian origin migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries like Ethiopia, Zambia, Uganda, Zaire, Malawi, Kenya and Tanzania, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  • In case the candidate has a different but eligible origin other than citizenship of India, they must get a certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India in their favor.

SBI Clerk 2020 Application forms were available on the official website i.e. sbi.co.in. Candidates must pay the application fee and take a printout of the application form for future use. A registration confirmation SMS/e-mail is delivered to them. The procedure for filling SBI Clerk 2020 form involves five steps:

  1. Filling up the basic details i.e. Name, Email ID, Phone number etc.

  2. Uploading scanned images of signature and photograph.

  3. Filling up of academic and personal details.

  4. Preview of the application form.
